So it look like despite filling for bankruptcy, American Airlines is going ahead with it’s new aircraft plans. It seems for now that London will be the first market for the new widebody triple 7′s. Official specs are as follows…
- Fully lie flat First and Business Class seating with aisle access from every seat
- Specially designed Economy Class seating offering a higher recline pivot and an articulating seat bottom that provides more knee room and more comfort
- International Wi-Fi capability
- 110 volt AC power outlets and USB jacks available at every seat
- Up to 120 movies, and over 150 TV programs and 350 audio selections to choose from
- Unique mood lighting and a dramatic archway and ceiling treatment to create a feeling of spaciousness
- Increased fuel efficiency
Can’t wait to see the pictures. AA seems also to still be on schedule with their big $40 Billion order back in July with these announcements, “
- 10 Boeing 777-300ER widebody aircraft to be delivered in 2012 through 2013
- Six 777-200 widebody aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2014 through 2016
- 42 state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners expected to be delivered starting late 2014 ” ..
