Departure Date

It’s called Departure Date and it’s the first movie filmed entirely at 35,000 feet.  The movie is being produced by Virgin Groups Film and TV entertainment group. The entire movie takes place on 3 airlines, could you guess which ones?

Ya, you got it; Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia and Virgin America, it was shot and produced traveling through 3 continents and 28,000 miles in 9 days, the movie itself is 30 minutes long.

Here’s what the movie is about: What if life handed you what you want and then took it all away? Departure Date is a story about taking over control of your own destiny and following your heart no matter where it takes you. The movie is a romance and follows two people who met on a plane. The movie stars Ben Feldman, Nicky Whelan, Phillip Baker Hall, Luis Guzman, Janeane Garfalo and Max Brown.

Departure Date premieres 6.11.2012 at the LA film festival and will be aired on Virgin Flights.
