Airline Roundup

JetBlue announced a new feature to their “Trueblue” program, you can now transfer points between account. This at first sounds like a good idea although they have attached a price to that  $.0125 per point with a 1,000 point increment minimum. The only benefit would be to combine accounts, it is possible to book and award flight for an award flight for someone else.

Delta announced earlier this week that e-certs or airline credit, cannot be transferred to anyone else unless that person is traveling with you on the same reservation number, and you can only use one voucher per ticket purchase.

I have a feeling this is due to the sale of VDB voucher (voluntarily denied boarding) which where being illegally sold. This is truly a devaluation to the whole bump thing, remember this next time you volunteer.

JetBlue Airways and Singapore Airlines have announced today that its now possible for customers to book a single ticket with one check-in and baggage transfer between both airlines, as well as new services from the United States to Europe and Asia. This will apply Singapore Airlines offers business class service from Newark Singapore every day, making it the world’s longest nonstop commercial flight.
